Project 365/21: On Day 18’s post, I remarked on Axel’s resemblance to “The Dog” bobblehead. So I thought it would make a cute picture to have Axel go nose to nose with one of my Rottweiler bobbleheads.

Not happening. The digital stack of outtakes is huge. My “obedience-trained” dog would not stay in a nose to nose position with the bobblehead. And despite the fact that he is a finished AKC Champion, he wouldn’t hold a nice alert expression for me. Sort of like this:

The paws picture turned out the best. Rottweiler bobbleheads, unlike actual Rottweilers, always stay where you put them!

When Jersey was a show dog, she was doing her best expressions in the kitchen, when I was eating chips out of a bag. I suppose that was the reason that she never made champion 🙁 You are right! Alex is really, really ridiculously good looking! I’m not a rottie fancier, but I think he has a *very* nice head!

I’ve seen some unusual bait items in the show ring, especially the German-style ring, but I don’t think I ever saw a chip bag 🙂

LOL! We always used to ask Laura to give us an alert head by asking her “Do you want to go out?”

Ohhhh I should have said that! Or “breakfast” or “dinner” or “cookie” – but then I’d have to deliver 🙂

LOL! I think it is a cute picture!
Sherman never holds a good alert pose for us either
unless there is a tennis ball involved and I have learned that it is pretty difficult to hold a tennis ball and a camera at the same time and still have the picture in focus:)

I think you need 3 people to get a really good picture: one to hold a leash (or wrangle the off leash dot), one to bait, and one photographer. Easier said than done!

LOL Well, wouldn’t make much sense to him to touch noses with a dog that’s not real 😉

But, but, but! That’s why we did obedience classes, so he will do pointless things without question! You see how well it worked LOL
